October 6th 2015 – Dermal filler presentation on injecting techniques and safety. Watching Dr Sykes own cadaver dissection videos was anexcellent refresher on anatomy. It is important as an injector tounderstand the layers of the dermis, fat pads and vascular structures inorder to achieve optimal results safely

AMAC, Sydney
April 27th 2015 – Allergan invites top 100 injectors from Australia and New Zealand for a full day advanced course. Speakers were Dr Arthur Swift Plastic Surgeon from Canada and Dr Raj Aquila Cosmetic Physician from UK. Focus on using dermal fillers safely throughout the face including the temples and forehead.
Cadaver dissection with Mr Peter Callan - Plastic Surgeon at RACS
October 20th 2014 – Live dissection in small groups of facial vasculature with a particular focus on what to do in an emergency with Hyaluronidase. Discussion around vascular occlusion, increased doses of hyaluronidase being used around the world in an event. Up to 4000 units of Hyaluronidase being used in Asia safely in a vascular event

At each of these conferences I attended lectures by prominent Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologists discussing Botulinum toxin and dermalfiller administration.
I was responsible for briefing the international speakers on local injecting trends and was also their assistant on stage for each presentation while they were injecting a model patient.
