Mike's Aesthetic

Cosmetic Injectables are a form of art. Period.

Always choose an injector that matches your own aesthetic

If your injector takes their art seriously then they should know that there are many parts to your treatment plan. Also, your injector will have their own inherent artistic eye. We have our own prism through which we view aesthetics.
Therefore to achieve a pleasing result you should choose your injector based on their aesthetic. If we compare cosmetic injectables to another artistic, service-based industry we could gain a better understanding.

Cosmetic Injectors. How do you choose them?

If your cosmetic injector takes their job seriously, they should be able to describe their own aesthetic.
Meet with them

Spend 45 mins on your initial consultation

Ask to see their portfolio of previous work

Not stock images, their own before and after photos

Ask them to describe their aesthetic

Insist on the aesthetic you want. Ask your practitioner to describe who or what they think is aesthetically pleasing in beauty (eg Cindy Crawford or Kim Kardashian)

Take your time and do your research before spending all your money

Check if your practitioner is registered with AHPRA. Ask for a treatment plan, specifically tailored to your face

Ask where their materials come from? Quality is important!

Products must be registered on the Australian Registration of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG)

'Personally, I do NOT like this new “Kardashian” aesthetic. I do not like big false eyelashes or big lips. Heavy make-up or plastic frozen look. To protect my brand and personal aesthetic I do not perform these sorts of treatment.
So, what is my aesthetic?'

I would describe my aesthetic as 90’s supermodels

These beauties are natural in their appearance. None of them had injectable treatments. They are mathematically beautiful, yet different. Your eye is drawn to their cheekbones and eyes, rather than their boobs and lips. 90’s supermodels, to me, personify beauty. Natural beauty. Nothing artificial, nothing overstated... and this is the approach I take to each patients’ results. I want a natural, undetectable result for each of my patients, enhancing your natural features and beauty.

If somebody can ask you: “What did you do to your face?” then I have failed. They should ask you: “Have you had a holiday?” or “Did you change your hair colour?” That is Artistrie.
