Tear Troughs

Tear Troughs

The tear troughs are the under eye ‘troughs’. We can fill this area so that it reflects the light better.

This injectable treatment is the most difficult one that injectors perform. It takes years and years to master this technique.

Important things to consider are:

  • Product choice – low water absorption is essential
  • Patient choice – loose skin and fat pads may mean surgery is a better option. Mike is honest about this.
  • Depth of injection – the filler must be placed under the muscle
  • Amount of filler – this area is constantly overfilled resulting in ‘squishy eyes’. Too much filler in this area does not look good.
  • Timing of treatments – Mike likes to do this over a few sessions
  • Cheek fat and position – you will likely need to put filler in the cheek before the tear trough. This is required for support.
  • Pigmentation – ‘dark circles’ are from pigment. Filler can not fix them.

Choose Mike and choose Artistrie for your under-eye area. 15 years in the industry is a lifetime of learning about this area. All treatments carry risks and benefits which are discussed in your consultation. All
information is general. Patient results are variable case by case. All before and after
photos were signed out in a release from the patient.
